Bella Gladman is a front-end software developer, working mainly with JavaScript and React and focusing on accessibility.
Before retraining, she worked as a writer, editor and brand consultant, writing reports and critical essays on topics including: The X Files and conspiracy theories; Gen-Z nostalgia; and the future of facial modification. She has interviewed subjects from across arts, literature and culture, such as Ocean Vuong, Charli XCX, Wayne McGregor and Shirin Neshat.
Alongside having held staff roles at SHOWstudio and ASOS Magazine, her freelance writing portfolio includes working with brands like adidas X Stella McCartney, Rolls Royce and Estée Lauder on research, decks and copy; as well as articles for newspapers like the Financial Times and the Telegraph; and independent fashion and culture titles including Real Review, Kinfolk, Dazed Digital, Garage, Buffalo Zine and Wonderland.
Bella previously co-hosted and managed the Women in Fashion radio show that was hosted monthly on Foundation FM. Focusing on topics like diversity, mental health & models’ rights, WIF Radio was a space to discuss key topics affecting the fashion industry with industry insiders, in order to create transparency and provoke change.
